Southwire's 25kV cables excel in wet and dry environments, conduits, ducts, direct burial, sunlight, and where top-tier electrical performance is crucial. They operate continuously at up to 105°C normally, 140°C in emergencies, and 250°C during short circuits. Available jackets facilitate conduit installation without lubrication, and they withstand up to 1000 lbs./FT of sidewall pressure.
- Conductor: Moisture-resistant class B compressed Aluminum ASTM B231 1350 3/4 hard H16/H26 (Moisture blocking optional)
- Conductor Shield: Standard semi-conducting cross-linked copolymer; Conductor tape used for cables 1500 Kcmil and above
- Insulation: 320 Mils EPR/EAM 133% insulation level
- Insulation Shield: Removable semi-conducting cross-linked copolymer
- Concentric Neutral: Helically applied soft drawn bare copper one-third concentric neutral
- Overall Jacket: LLDPE Jacket, black with red stripes; PowerGlide LLDPE jacket available
